Show and Tell will be on Tuesdays and Fridays this term. Please encourage your child/ren to bring in something from home that relates to our theme or number of the week. Please can they leave their toys at home on other days. Thank you.

Summer Term 5, 2008.
Our theme this term is Growing.

WEEK 1. 21st – 25th April
Number of the week 4
Wednesday is St. George’s day. All week we will be creating dragon pictures, making flags and acting out the scene where St. George defeats the dragon and saves the Princess. On Monday, Wednesday, Friday we will be making scones.
Also this week we will be sorting out our gardens and getting them ready for our vegetables.

WEEK 2. 29th April – 2nd May
Number of the week 2
During this week we will be planting our vegetables and sunflowers, and talking about how we can help them grow. We will also be doing some vegetable printing, recognising and identifying the colours we use and creating secondary colours as we go.

WEEK 3. 6th – 9th May
Number of the week 1
This week we will be making a start on our garden wall display by doing some paintings and collage work. Over the next couple of weeks we will be putting all of our work together to create a sunflower, a flower, a broad bean plant and potatoes. Over the next couple of weeks we will be doing some growing action poems.

WEEKS 4 & 5. 12th - 23rd May
Numbers of the week 3 & 5
During these weeks we will be creating individual window boxes that contain pretend long-living flowers. We will also be finishing off our garden display.
